A Standout Motel

We stayed here for one night with our two kids on the way from Kaikoura to Mount Cook. This place was a real standout of our 11-day road trip. The two bedroom unit had pristine carpeting, a large family room where we opened Christmas presents, and comfortable beds that looked like those in a 5-star hotel. The owners were so kind and welcoming. We were very impressed!
Arrived late at night and nothing was a problem. Room was lovely. Clean and bed was great. Loved the balcony and no road noise at all. Would stay here again. Owner was very helpful too. Definitely recommend.

Great place to stay

Arrived late at night and nothing was a problem. Room was lovely. Clean and bed was great. Loved the balcony and no road noise at all. Would stay here again. Owner was very helpful too. Definitely recommend.
We were on our way to queenstown from Greymouth (yes long story!) and we wanted to break our journey. Ashburton Motor Lodge, in the small town of Ashburton turned out to be the perfect choice. Newly rennovated, the rooms were perfect! We took a two bedroom unit that fit our 3 adult children very comfortably and another room for two adults. Very well equipped kitchnette, which was a pleasant surprise. Sally was lovely and very welcoming. Pity we didn’t stay longer, but would definitely return

Perfect Stopover

We were on our way to queenstown from Greymouth (yes long story!) and we wanted to break our journey. Ashburton Motor Lodge, in the small town of Ashburton turned out to be the perfect choice. Newly rennovated, the rooms were perfect! We took a two bedroom unit that fit our 3 adult children very comfortably and another room for two adults. Very well equipped kitchnette, which was a pleasant surprise. Sally was lovely and very welcoming. Pity we didn’t stay longer, but would definitely return
